Many customs have come to be part of the

Sierra Veterinary Medical Association (SVMA) tradition.

Some of these rituals include:

Karnival:  A German Mardi-Gras costume ball.  The euphoric splendor of that night is relived each year, don “authentic” European style.

Awards Night:  The custom of holding our own ski race and the winners are rewarded at our annual award’s night banquet.

Anniversary Dinner:  Held on Thursday evening. The new officers are installed at this time. The Tailender is presented to the person making the biggest mishap during the week, so be on the lookout for candidates to receive this honor.

Summer Meeting:  This is a social event that meets at a different resort.  In recent years, several summer meetings  have included scuba diving.
