Crested Butte Colorado

Although Crested Butte is known for having some of the gnarliest runs in North America, the resort’s 1,547 skiable acres and vertical drop of 2,787 feet offer terrain for every level of skier or snowboarder. The lower lifts are almost entirely green or blue terrain, while the upper lifts access the steep rocky parts of the mountain offering skiers and boarders a variety of terrain including bowls, glades, powder fields and cliffs.

Crested Butte is ALSO one of the premier cross-country ski destinations in the country. The Crested Butte Nordic Center maintains 34 miles of immaculately groomed trails around the Town of Crested Butte. One of the most beautiful cross-country trails in Crested Butte winds along the Slate River, providing spectacular Mountain views.

Located just 3 miles from the Crested Butte Mountain Resort, the small historic mining village of Crested Butte has all the flavor of an old Colorado ski town. Although tiny, Crested Butte is full of unique restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. A visit to this vibrant little town is a must for any skier.
