See Rules & Regulations (President’s Manual Section 21) for dues rates, notices, and collections.

Letter with Dues Notice: Right after the winter meeting, the new President should write a letter to the members to accompany the dues notices sent out by the Executive Secretary. Traditionally the letter has included thanks to the previous President for his/her year. Any items of news, and announcements about the summer and winter meetings that are planned for your year should be made.

Letter to Accompany Summer Meeting Registration Information: If a mailing is still being done for the summer meeting registration, the President should have an accompanying letter to go with the registration information. If the website is being used for registration, a letter can be attached there as well.

Letter to Accompany Winter Meeting Registration Information: If a mailing is still being done for the winter meeting registration, the President should have an accompanying letter to go with the registration information. If the website is being used for registration, a letter can be attached there as well.

New Members: Now that new members do not have to have the signatures of two members to join, the President should respond to any inquiries about the SVMA to encourage new members to join.

Questionnaire: Each President has the right to send out a questionnaire to survey members on subjects the President would like input on. This can be done whenever the President wishes.
